Alicyn interviewed on the Chris Pirillo Show

Click below to hear my interview on the Chris Pirillo Show. We caught up at CES last year to discuss voice work, finding my inner geek, and a live demonstrations of the Empress of Time that I recorded for the top-selling video game "Prince of Persia 2."

Chris' podcasts are always solid, so browse around the site and check it out!

Alicyn begins production today for the SAG feature "Alondra Smiles" by independent production company Villa Media Productions.

The film centers around the main character Alondra who had a rough start in life, and Tatiana Melendez her spoiled cousin as they both plan special birthday parties. Alicyn will be playing the role of Maggie, the eager to please, loveable party planner for Tatiana's Quincienera. Maggie is excited to put her creative talents to the test in her first job ever, but Mrs. Melendez will make sure that nothing is easy for Maggie. Production is expected to wrap in mid-February.

Alicyn Cast in ScripTease, Improv & Sketch Comedy with a Twist

I've just been cast as one of the newest members of ScripTease Los Angeles, the world's only stripping improv troupe. ScripTease is a high-risk improv and sketch comedy troupe. During a ScripTease show we have some scenes called "Strip Scenes." These scenes have certain rules, and it is up to you - our audience - to enforce them. If you catch us breaking a rule during a "Strip Scene" you yell out "STRIP" and we promptly take off an article of clothing, much like strip poker. Our mission is to expose the theater to people who don't consider themselves "theater-goers," while trying not to expose too much of ourselves.

Next Show:
THE ANTI-VALENTINE'S DAY SHOW

Alicyn listed with Discovergirls.com

I've just been accepted to be listed with Discovergirls.com, an online portfolio for actresses, singers, models and other talented women around the world. I'm excited to be in the ranks with the very accomplished women of Discovergirls who are committed to their craft and improving the world around them.

Discovergirls works hard to support important charitable causes. For example, in March, 2006, they are releasing a CD compilation featuring 18 of the singer/songwriters on discovergirls.com for the benefit of the National Breast Cancer Foundation. A team of volunteers, including Paul Salveson (sound engineer for the late great Ray Charles and many other stars) and the Bevans Group (graphic artists), worked with us to develop a truly outstanding album. Visit this website on March 1, 2006, to purchase the CD, and help eliminate cancer.

My profile should be up in the next few weeks. In the meantime, be sure to check out the website at http://www.discovergirls.com

As artists, we have the power to reach out and make a positive difference in the world around us. Sometimes when life seems scarce, all it takes is the simple act of giving to get ourselves in balance again.

In October of 2005, I trained and completed the Nike Women's Marathon with Team in Training. I raised over $3,000 to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to challenge themselves in an endurance event while raising money for a great cause, check out the Team in Training website at http://www.teamintraining.org
