What Are These Gratitude Tweets?

For those of you that are follow me on Twitter, (www.twitter.com/alicyn) you might be wondering about the "Gratitude" tweets are that you've been seeing on my time line.

The goal of the Gratitude tweets is to take time daily to appreciate all that I'm thankful for in my life (and it's a LOT). Often times we get so caught up in achieving the next goal we fail to appreciate the beauty of this moment. The gratitude tweets are my commitment to appreciating life every day. I am committing to one full year of daily gratitude tweets.

I love Twitter & it's been fascinating to see the community grow in the two years I've been on it. People share all sorts of things on Twitter; news commentary, event information, and personal details, and I love it all!

Prior to Twitter, I have a micro-podcast called "Love & Gratitude" where I would share what I was grateful for in the moment and post to Myspace. This was inspired by Da Bomb (creator of Burncast) and her podcast she created in honor of her father. This was created using G-Cast, a service where you could call in and record a brief message.

Now a technology exists that makes it so much easier to accomplish this! With TweetMic & Twitter, it only takes a few minutes a day to create and share what you're thankful for in your life. It's a small subtle shift that has a deep impact on the way I view my life.

If you feel so inclined to tweet your own gratitudes, I will be happy to read or listen!

Sending L O V E your way!

xoxo
