NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Space Race (www.spaceracekids.com), winner
of a Kids First! Award for best screenplay for children, will launch
today as a fully animated, action packed web series focusing on space
education, space travel and racing. Directed by Emmy award winning
director Mark Risley, each Space Race webisode is hosted by "Gary
Galaxy," played by children's theatrical star Meyer deLeeuw. Space
Race has also partnered with Speakaboos, the award-winning publisher
of digital children's stories, to launch "Journey to Space Month"
April 1st.

"Space Race is action-packed and humorous with educational components
as well," says Richard Schweiger, CEO and executive producer of Space
Race. "Each webisode features an interview with one of our star
characters and an education module which will provide more detail
about a certain part of our solar system; Eagle Wingstrong teaches
about Earth, Vulture Albatross: space stations, Colonel Coot: Mars and
so on." Meyer deLeeuw, who will host as Gary Galaxy, is an experienced
children's entertainer; as lead character "Joe," he toured hundreds of
North American cities for Nickelodeon's live theatrical stage show,
"Blue's Clues Live!" "We are very excited to have Meyer on board,"

During Journey to Space Month, Speakaboos stories and games will
revolve around space themes. Children will be able to watch Space Race
episodes and engage in related interactive games, widgets, educational
guides, trivia and more. "We see an underserved market demanding space
related education, themes and storylines," says Julian Cohen, Chief
Marketing Officer. He says, "With Speakaboos, we can meet the needs of
parents, teachers and anyone interested in learning more about space
through a completely immersive and 'out of this world' experience."

Cohen explains the website content in depth saying, "It's engaging and
informative. Parents can interact with their children while everyone
learns more about space." Space Race games include Galaxy Adventure 3D
(a "Mario Kart" style racing game) and Trivia, while the "What
Spaceship are You?" widget will enable children to answer a series of
fun questions to figure out which Space Race character most resembles
their personalities and interests.

A parents and teachers section will include educational guides,
supplements and flash cards. The printable items incorporate Space
Race characters, themes and activities. Some curriculum sections
include: Arts + Crafts: Build Your Own Spaceship; Recipes: Moon Balls;
and Picture Puzzle: Space Race. Parents and teachers will be able to
promote a love of space, exploration and adventure using Space Race
themed flash cards. An electronic coloring page allows kids to color
in their own Space Race characters and pictures before printing them
out and sharing with friends and family. Schweiger says, "The kids
will have you clearing some refrigerator door space so they can
proudly display their creations."

I'm excited to be voicing one of the characters in the latest version of World of Warcraft, the massively huge online multi-player game by Blizzard Entertainment.

I voice the Female Blood Elf in the 2007 Expansion Pack so it was a joy to be back in the studio for a new role in the upcoming release. I can't say anymore about who I'm playing, but I will keep you posted!

I'll be voicing the role of "Little Delilah," a 40 year old jaded waitress stuck in the body (and voice) of an 11 year-old. Just a quick update about a few cool voiceover jobs I recorded this week. The first is for an upcoming video game slated to be announced in July. I've signed a non-disclosure agreement, so mum's the word for now, but I'll keep you posted when the info. is released. I can let you know that I voice two very different female warriors & it was a LOT of fun to record.

The second project I worked on this week was a PSA for "Sunshine Week". Sunshine Week is a national event that seeks to promote awareness for our Sunshine Laws. The Sunshine Laws are any and all laws related to transparency in government. Sunshine Week recently joined more than 60 members of the worldwide Freedom of Information community commending President Obama on his government transparency orders. Nickelodeon is set to premiere the new animated preschool series Olivia on Monday, January 26 at 11:30, which will be followed by a week of new episodes.  Olivia will air regularly weekdays at 11:30a.Presented in conjunction with Chorion and animated by Brown Bag Films, Olivia is based on Ian Falconer's Olivia picture books.  The network is supporting the series launch by offering content from January 16 on Nick Jr. Video and Nickelodeon Mobile, with episodes available from January 27 via Nickelodeon on Demand.  The series will also premiere this year in the UK on Five's Milkshake!

I voiced several characters in a new upcoming video game from D3 productions. The coolest part about this, is that the game will star Neil Patrick Harris, my childhood crush. Seriously, just to know that I will be in video game with DOOGIE HOUSER is the coolest thing ever. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he also starred in "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog". Genius, enough said!

I'll keep you posted with the details when I can say more!

Also, I had the opportunity to work with the very talented Matt Mercer. A truly talented actor & voice guy.... what a joy!

I just recorded some voices for the BluRay DVD "Happy Gilmore." The new DVD features an option where you can cheer along with Happy while he's golfing. I played the grandmother & the girlfriend. FUN! I'm not sure of the release date, but I'll keep ya posted!!

It's official, "The Mr.

Men Show" has been greenlit for a second season on The Cartoon Network. We'll begin recording in July with new episodes to come in 2009. In addition, "The Mr. Men Show" premiered on Al Jazeera this month & is currently the number one children's show in the UK!

I just played a cupcake in the new animated short film "Cupcake Life" by Mike Miller.

A comedic Aardaman-style claymation, "Cupcake Life" centers around the short lives of a group of cupcakes. Here's a clip Mike did that serves as a precursor to "Cupcake Life." Some cupcakes are feeling the heat.

Mike Miller's first short, "Super Ending" premiered at the San Diego Comicon in 2007. "Super Ending," stopmotion animation that utilizes action figures much like Cartoon Network's "Robot Chicken. "After making it through Spike & Mike's Gauntlet show it toured with Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Animation Festival.

I worked on the radio teleplay "Adventures in Odyssey" this week playing a variety of characters, from a reporter, to Eve, to an elderly librarian. I had a total BLAST and got to work with some of the greatest voiceover artists in the country.

I can't describe what an amazing experience it was to work alongside Will Ryan, Katie Lee, Fred Tatasciore, and good friend Keith Ferguson.

I love my life :O)

Chorion announces new US licensing and merchandising deals for its new animated series The Mr. Men Show, including TV tie-in merchandise, which is set to launch in US in early 2009, including product from: Freeze (junior/kids T-shirts, tanks, fleece etc); Armitron (youth watches); ES Originals (novelty stationery, handbags/totes/backpacks, novelty youth footwear etc); Skechers (Cali Bits Shoe Charms), Briefly Stated (men/junior/kids sleepwear, loungewear, underwear); American Greetings (party goods, stickers, various novelty products) among others.  Toys based on the series will be available beginning fall/holiday 2009, including products from master toy licensee, Fisher Price.  Based on author Rogers Hargreaves' Mr. Men and Little Miss books, The Mr. Men Show launches here on Cartoon Network, February 4 at 9a, where the series will air daily. Blizzard Ent. Inc. announced today that subscribership for its massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft has passed the 10 million mark worldwide since debuting in November of 2004. Geographically, the number breaks down to approximately two million subscribers in Europe, more than 2.5 million in North America, and about 5.5 million in Asia. The game is currently available in seven languages, with a Russian version in development and scheduled for release later this year.

“It’s very gratifying to see gamers around the world continuing to show such enthusiasm and support for World of Warcraft,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Ent. “We’re always pleased to welcome new players to the game, and we’re looking forward to sharing the next major content update with the entire community in the months ahead.”

Seven New Deals

Still seasons and seasons away from domestic broadcast, The Mr. Men Show television animation remains newsworthy, and for a good reason. Chorion Ltd. has been actively seeking, and actively inking, licensing deals for the property as it enters into a new stage of interest from a variety of demographics. The classic literary property, which through distinct character personalities involves its youth audience in a variety of mishaps, misadventures and much more--Mr. Men and Little Miss--is gauged for return, and in a big way. In the past week, Chorion, the copyright-holder of the Mr. Men property, has announced a slew of new apparel and lifestyle item licenses relevant to The Mr. Men Show: the new animated television series to feature animation production from Renegade Animation.

At the head of this licensing blitz is Berkshire Fashion, Inc.; whose service as a leading accessory and intimate apparel company has reportedly satisfied many a customer. The company will develop a wide selection of materials for mid-tier, high fashion retailers that range from headwear, raingear and cold weather accessories. Soliciting feedback from department and specialty stores, Berkshire Fashion is one of many companies looking to capitalize on the classic property of Mr. Men. Mattel’s Fisher Price division has won the master toy licence for the new series of the The Mr Men Show, which launches next year.
The deal with licensor Chorion was announced at the New York Licensing International show and initially covers UK, US and French territories.

Fisher-Price will manufacture a range of pre-school products based on the show, including feature plush, playsets, figures, musical toys, and vehicles. The collection of toys is expected to hit shelves in the UK in autumn 2008, with other territories to follow from 2009.

Eric Karp, EVP of global licensing and merchandising at Chorion, said: “We at Chorion are delighted to be partnering The Mr. Men Show with the industry leader in preschool toys. Fisher-Price brings innovation and creativity to playtime, and we’re thrilled that they will now bring our much-loved characters to life.”

Jean Christophe Pean, general manager, Mattel UK added: “We are thrilled to have signed The Mr. Men Show license with Chorion. The Mr. Men and Little Miss is such a fantastic, much loved classic brand, especially in the UK, and with our expertise in developing great pre-school product it will make the perfect marriage.”

Twenty-five Mr. Men and Little Miss characters will be featured in the new series. To complement the new animation style, some of the characters are being refreshed and some completely re-worked – but all will remain true to the essence of Roger Hargreaves’ original Mr. Men and Little Miss creations.

Cartoon Network will be the US home for The Mr. Men Show (52x11'), a new sketch animated series From Chorion Ltd, which is slated to launch on the network in January 2008.  Additionally, Cartoon Network is also co-producing the series with Chorion. The Mr. Men Show is based on the Mr. Men and Little Miss books created in the 1970s by Roger Hargreaves.  The series is written and produced by Kate Boutilier and Eryk Casemiro (Rugrats, As Told By Ginger) directed by Emmy-award winning Mark Risley ( and animated in the US by Renegade Animation.

Alicyn Packard has been cast as the roles of Little Miss Sunshine, Little Miss Naughty, & Little Miss Whoops.

I voiced the character of the Female Blood Elf in the latest edition of World of Warcraft. Here's a press release from the WoW website that discusses sales and the popularity of the game.

Alicyn will be starring in the film "The Tale of Perdita," an animated short film directed by Curt Stewart, that tells the story of a young girl who is led astray by a dangerous clockwork rat. The film was recorded at Cinema Libre Studios and will be doing the festival circuit in the Fall of 2006.

Alicyn will be voicing the main character, Perdita as well as the narrator.

The short film "Transgressions," directed by Valerie Weiss and produced by Carrie LeGrand will be screening tonight at the AFI's Directing Workshop for Women Showcase, which features films from the 19th Cycle of he Directing Workshop for Women.

The film, which stars Robert Johnson and Holly Robertson, was written by Isabelle Marinov. Alicyn portrays a newscaster and additional voices for the movie.

Alicyn just booked and recorded a radio spot for San Diego Credit Union. The commercial, directed by Joel Ziskia of Nucleus Productions will air locally in the San Diego area. Alicyn co-starred with voice actress Leah Lynette, in a comedic spot where both girls portray recent college grads.

I completed a workshop this weekend entitled Extended Comedy Characters for Commercials. It was taught by the one and only Roger Scott (who is wonderful) and took place at the North Hollywood Recordings. The workshop was put on by the Voiceover Connection.
