Voices for New Videogame from D3 Productions

I voiced several characters in a new upcoming video game from D3 productions. The coolest part about this, is that the game will star Neil Patrick Harris, my childhood crush. Seriously, just to know that I will be in video game with DOOGIE HOUSER is the coolest thing ever. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he also starred in "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog". Genius, enough said!

I'll keep you posted with the details when I can say more!

Also, I had the opportunity to work with the very talented Matt Mercer. A truly talented actor & voice guy.... what a joy!

I just played a cupcake in the new animated short film "Cupcake Life" by Mike Miller.

A comedic Aardaman-style claymation, "Cupcake Life" centers around the short lives of a group of cupcakes. Here's a clip Mike did that serves as a precursor to "Cupcake Life." Some cupcakes are feeling the heat.

Mike Miller's first short, "Super Ending" premiered at the San Diego Comicon in 2007. "Super Ending," stopmotion animation that utilizes action figures much like Cartoon Network's "Robot Chicken. "After making it through Spike & Mike's Gauntlet show it toured with Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Animation Festival.

Warcraft Takes 10 Million Prisoners

(from http://www.animationmagazine.net/article/78380

Blizzard Ent. Inc. announced today that subscribership for its massively multiplayer online role-playing game World of Warcraft has passed the 10 million mark worldwide since debuting in November of 2004. Geographically, the number breaks down to approximately two million subscribers in Europe, more than 2.5 million in North America, and about 5.5 million in Asia. The game is currently available in seven languages, with a Russian version in development and scheduled for release later this year.

“It’s very gratifying to see gamers around the world continuing to show such enthusiasm and support for World of Warcraft,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Ent. “We’re always pleased to welcome new players to the game, and we’re looking forward to sharing the next major content update with the entire community in the months ahead.”

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, the first expansion pack for the game, was the best-selling PC game of 2007 in both North America and Europe, and holds the record for fastest-selling PC game of all time, with nearly 2.4 million copies sold in its first 24 hours of availability. Development is underway on World of Warcraft’s second expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, which was unveiled at the company’s BlizzCon gaming festival in August of 2007. 'The Mr. Men Show' Merchandising

Seven New Deals

Still seasons and seasons away from domestic broadcast, The Mr. Men Show television animation remains newsworthy, and for a good reason. Chorion Ltd. has been actively seeking, and actively inking, licensing deals for the property as it enters into a new stage of interest from a variety of demographics. The classic literary property, which through distinct character personalities involves its youth audience in a variety of mishaps, misadventures and much more--Mr. Men and Little Miss--is gauged for return, and in a big way. In the past week, Chorion, the copyright-holder of the Mr. Men property, has announced a slew of new apparel and lifestyle item licenses relevant to The Mr. Men Show: the new animated television series to feature animation production from Renegade Animation.

At the head of this licensing blitz is Berkshire Fashion, Inc.; whose service as a leading accessory and intimate apparel company has reportedly satisfied many a customer. The company will develop a wide selection of materials for mid-tier, high fashion retailers that range from headwear, raingear and cold weather accessories. Soliciting feedback from department and specialty stores, Berkshire Fashion is one of many companies looking to capitalize on the classic property of Mr. Men. With the television animation scheduled for release in January 2008, now is the time for product developers and manufacturers to buckle down, with "additional licensees on board, we are ready to embark on a fully integrated effort to pave the way for the launch of The Mr. Men Show," Cheryl Gotthelf, svp, Global Brand Management for Mr. Men and Little Miss at Chorion, stated.

Additional licenses include:

C-Life, a New York-based manufacturer and leading resource for girls' character and branded apparel, whose "No Kidding" division will launch a full line of boys' sets and swimwear, and girls' dresses and sets for Spring 2008; H.E.R. Accessories, specializing in novelty junior accessories; You and Me Legwear, for hosiery and socks; and stickers and temporary tattoos for tweens and teens via Vending Supply Inc. There will even be pet accessories available in due time, courtesy of Pamper Me Pets.

Lastly, Franco Manufacturing is currently developing a line of bedding, bath towels, beach towels and slumber bags to be marketed at select mid-tier and specialty stores nationwide. Seven licensing deals inked, in addition to the previous reported release of Fisher-Price as having acquired the master toy license for The Mr. Men Show [related A.I. news: "Toy License: 'The Mr. Men Show'"].

About Chorion: Chorion Ltd is a media content company that owns and manages an extensive portfolio of classic and contemporary premium copyrights with worldwide appeal. The company comprises three divisions: Children's, Literary Estates, and TV and Film. The Children's division directs global entertainment and merchandising for Chorion-owned brands including Noddy and the Mr. Men, as well as managing the non-publishing rights for properties such as Olivia; Literary Estates manage such Chorion-owned properties as the works of Agatha Christie and Raymond Chandler.

Mattel Cinches Mr. Men Deal

(from http://www.toynewsmag.com/news/27608/Mattel-clinches-Mr-Men-deal)

Mattel’s Fisher Price division has won the master toy licence for the new series of the The Mr Men Show, which launches next year.
The deal with licensor Chorion was announced at the New York Licensing International show and initially covers UK, US and French territories.

Fisher-Price will manufacture a range of pre-school products based on the show, including feature plush, playsets, figures, musical toys, and vehicles. The collection of toys is expected to hit shelves in the UK in autumn 2008, with other territories to follow from 2009.

Eric Karp, EVP of global licensing and merchandising at Chorion, said: “We at Chorion are delighted to be partnering The Mr. Men Show with the industry leader in preschool toys. Fisher-Price brings innovation and creativity to playtime, and we’re thrilled that they will now bring our much-loved characters to life.”

Jean Christophe Pean, general manager, Mattel UK added: “We are thrilled to have signed The Mr. Men Show license with Chorion. The Mr. Men and Little Miss is such a fantastic, much loved classic brand, especially in the UK, and with our expertise in developing great pre-school product it will make the perfect marriage.”

Twenty-five Mr. Men and Little Miss characters will be featured in the new series. To complement the new animation style, some of the characters are being refreshed and some completely re-worked – but all will remain true to the essence of Roger Hargreaves’ original Mr. Men and Little Miss creations.

I voiced the character of the Female Blood Elf in the latest edition of World of Warcraft. Here's a press release from the WoW website that discusses sales and the popularity of the game.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT®: THE BURNING CRUSADE™ CONTINUES RECORD-BREAKING SALES PACE
Subscriber base for bestselling PC game of 2005 and 2006* passes 8.5 million as expansion set continues to build on day-one sales momentum
IRVINE, Calif. – March 7, 2007 – Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. announced today that World of Warcraft®: The Burning Crusade™ sold through approximately 3.5 million copies within one month following its mid-January launch in North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.* This includes more than 1.9 million sold in regions that play on North American realms, including more than 100,000 copies in Australasia, and nearly 1.6 million in Europe. World of Warcraft's worldwide subscriber base now numbers more than 8.5 million and is continuing to grow as new and returning players join existing players in the game.

Blizzard previously announced that this first expansion set for World of Warcraft sold through nearly 2.4 million copies worldwide in its first 24 hours -- more than any other PC game in history had sold within an entire first month of availability.* With approximately 3.5 million copies sold through, The Burning Crusade has now established the new one-month record for PC-game sales.

"We're thrilled about the overwhelming response that we've received for The Burning Crusade," said Mike Morhaime, president of Blizzard Entertainment. "We have worked hard to build upon nearly every aspect of World of Warcraft with this expansion, and it's gratifying to see that players and reviewers are enjoying the new content."

Amazon.com® reported that it received more preorders for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade than for any other PC or console game ever, and Wal-Mart® also recorded similar record-breaking numbers for The Burning Crusade. According to Gary Severson, senior vice president and general manager at Wal-Mart, "Not only was The Burning Crusade the top-selling item in our electronics department the day it released; it had the best day-one sales of any PC-game launch in our company's history."

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade is Blizzard Entertainment®'s first expansion for its subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game, World of Warcraft. It adds an extensive amount of new content to the game, including an increase in the level cap, complete with new spells, abilities, and talents for players to acquire as they advance their characters; huge new outdoor zones and dungeons for players to explore after they journey through the Dark Portal into the shattered world of Outland; two new playable races; flying mounts; a new character profession: jewelcrafting; and much more.

Following the initial launch of the expansion on January 16, Blizzard held a highly successful open beta test in Korea and then commercially released The Burning Crusade for players there on February 12. The company is currently working with its partners to localize the content into Simplified and Traditional Chinese for mainland China and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau and release the expansion in those regions as soon as possible. For further information on World of Warcraft and The Burning Crusade, please visit www.worldofwarcraft.com.
