Tucked away in an old shoebox and long forgotten, this letter described my dream life of the future. Nearly 20 years later, I’m delighted to see that much of what I once wrote has become reality. The seeds of my dreams are now in full bloom.

by way of Beantown, a city that shaped me, I followed my dreams to the sun-kissed land of California. From being crowned the “2023 Voice Actress of the Year” at the One Voice Awards, to lending my spirit to dozens of iconic characters for cartoons and video games, to traveling across the country for meet & greets with fans, my story has had some amazing chapters. But the true gifts of my life lie in the relationships I’ve formed along the way.
I’m living my dream life and It’s from this deep well of gratitude and joy that I strive to create from every day.
From a small town in Massachusetts, half way between Boston and Cape Cod,
My mom was inspired to name me after a character in a horror movie name Alison Parker. Nice sounding name, terrible movie.
THAT Alison didn’t have a happy ending… so she changed the spelling so THIS Alicyn would.
Yes, Alicyn is the spelling I was born with!

My characters have been featured everywhere from Times Square to McDonald’s Happy Meals.
Whether it’s a sauna/cold plunge combo or a bath bomb soak at the end of the day, relaxation is how I keep going.

At my core, I’m a storyteller, who aspires to inspire.
My animated credits include eight episodes of the Mattel-produced animated series, Barbie: Dreamtopia with partner and young-adult author, Dana Middleton.
I’ve also written for animated pre-school series, Poppy Cat for PBS/Sprout and lyrics for Space Racers.
In addition to writing for animation, I write sketches and musical comedy for the web which can be viewed on my YouTube channel.
